Nokia adventure race winners ‘a well-balanced team’

KUALA LUMPUR: They tried their hands at Chinese calligraphy, played traditional musical instruments, made teh tarik and roti canai and climbed treacherous slopes at Batu Caves — all in their quest to discover the soul of this city. After a hectic two-day race, which took eight teams all over the city, Team 3 led by TV personality Dylan Leong emerged champions in the "Nokia N95 Wireless Adventure: Discover the Soul of Kuala Lumpur" contest on Sunday.
The team won a trip to Rome for their effort.
Leong attributed the victory to his "well-balanced" team, comprising Lee Yoke Loong and siblings Mohd Khalil Al Haqq Mohd Rassali and Ana Nur Hidayah.
"Khalil was the tech-expert and good in reading GPS and maps. Ana solved all the clues while Lee is really well-versed with the roads around Kuala Lumpur. "I did the running and editing," he said.
Team 7, led by host Nazrudin Rahman (Naz), won an all-expense-paid trip to Prague for coming up with the best video.
The winning clip captured the culture, art, music, great shopping and city folk who are the soul of Kuala Lumpur.
Naz said the video was a collective effort of team members Mohd Ridzwan Md Imam, Alfred Loh and Effa Syafiza Mohd Desa.
Thirty-two contestants, short-listed from more than 1,400 people, took part in the race.
